Virtualization

Imagine being able to add a server to your datacenter with the click of a mouse - it's just that easy!

In the past, the answer for supporting increased business demand for IT was installing a new server. As a result, today you may have a datacenter full of powerful, yet under-utilized, machines. Consider a more efficient use of your resources with the power to save you money and increase your disaster recovery capabilities.

How does it work?

Virtualization breaks the traditional link between software and the hardware it runs on. In the case of servers, it allows multiple virtual operating systems to run on one physical machine. This is acheived via a software application, such as VMWare or Microsoft’s Hyper V, which acts as a layer from which the virtual machines are created. Additionally, the layer contains a monitor, or hypervisor, which divides the physical machine’s resources amongst the virtual environments. Going beyond servers, you can virtualize your entire IT Infrastructure from desktops to storage.
