Orange Technology announces free Google Apps migrations for 501(c)(3) Organizations
Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 5:24PM Effective immediately, Orange Technology Management will donate it's services to help any local Southwest Florida non-profit organization migrate to, or deploy Google AppsTM.
"In any organization, communication and collaboration is key. Without it, the whole organization suffers," said Anthony Garmont. "I see so many organizations using personal AOL or Yahoo accounts to communicate while working at a non-profit. The problem is, that when an employee or volunteer leaves, so does that email history in many cases - there is no ownership rights to that email. Non-profits could benefit from a centrally managed enterprise grade collaboration and email system. By deploying Google Apps, non-profits can save a great deal on up front capital expenditures because they need not purchase and install costly servers and infrastructure." Anthony went on to say, "And now, we are providing the other piece to that puzzle; the labor to get them up and running. The only thing the non-profit needs to provide is their willingness to let us help them get the project completed. We realize that in this economic time, donations are probably down and the first thing to suffer in many cases is capital expenditures. It's a win-win for both of us. We get to help our community, and we get to further streamline our internal processes for Google Apps implementations. The non-profit gets to benefit from a robust messaging and collaboration platform that will scale with them for years to come."
Google Apps brings simple, powerful communication and collaboration tools to non-profit organizations. With Google Apps, users can use applications such as GmailTM webmail service, Google TalkTM instant messaging service, Google CalendarTM calendaring service, Google DocsTM program, Google SitesTM web application, and Google VideoTM for non-profits on their own domain to work together more effectively. Best of all, it's all hosted by Google, so there's no hardware or software to download, install or maintain.
Orange Technology Management is able to retain a close relationship with their customers in order to provide additional service and support. The businesses receiving Google Apps will benefit from the additional attention to their specific needs. For more information on Google Apps, please CLICK HERE
